Lace Your Skates for Ice Skating & Roller Skating, Best Melbourne Breweries for Families & Mt Baw Baw tips
Hi there
It's August but it feels like Spring! How is that possible?
This sudden warm weather all the more reason to leave the house to make some fun family memories together - check out what's happening in August for families.
This weekend I'm going to be heading to Newells Paddock for some birdwatching and photography, catching Minions: The Rise of Gru so we can get in the mood for the Minions High Tea at Langham Melbourne in the upcoming school holidays, and going on a date night to see Love and Other Catastrophes as part of the Melbourne Film Festival.
I remember watching this film for the first time while still a uni student in Brisbane, and being so envious of the 'grown up' lives of these university students in Melbourne. At the time I was desperate to move away from home, away from suburban Brisbane and to live out my 'Secret Life of Us' dreams in the big smoke.
Now that I've lived more of my life in Melbourne than in Brisbane and way past my uni days, it'll be interesting to revisit this 1996 film again. We're squeezing in a quick dinner at Victoria at Farmer's Daughters in Federation Square, another testament to all that is wonderful about Melbourne and Victoria.
And in other exciting news, my book club mate has just booked us tickets to An Evening with David Sedaris. Have you read any of this books? He's one of the few authors that I read that makes me laugh out loud (normally I just chuckle on the inside). I can't wait!
